Box 67222, Baltimore, MD 21215. www.nabsinc.org/NABSAffiliates.asp NABS was founded in 1982 to give more opportunities for African American storytellers to be heard and for more of the rich heritage of the African Oral Tradition to be shared and preserved. - T'Keyah loves the custom of storytelling and performed in a touring theater company with one of Ase's members.

Sweet Strings, located on the 2nd floor of the Baldwin Hill / Crenshaw Mall in Los Angeles, CA, (323) 295-1111 is an inner-city orchestra, founded by Kika Keith and her mother Shenika Thomas that empowers youth to believe in and achieve their creative potential by learning how to play the violin, flute and cello. Little Black Pearl Workshop, 4200 S. Drexel Blvd., Chicago, IL 60643 (773) 285-1211 - a Chicago based children's art organization that creates avenues for exposure to art and culture while teaching the profitable connection between arts, education and business. NAACP's ACT-SO (African American Academic Cultural Technological & Scientific Olympics) program, 4805 Mt. Hope Dr., Baltimore, MD 21215 (410) 358-8900 is a local and national mentoring program and competition for African American youth in the categories of math, science, performance, and literary arts. This is T'Keyah's favorite NAACP committee. She has served on and volunteers for the committee's Hollywood/Beverly Hills branch. She also served as host for the Chicago ACT-SO Awards and as Co-host with Doug E. Doug for the National ACT-SO Awards. www.naacp.org/programs/act-so

The Keymáh Cultural Fund's Tickets for Teens program provides tickets to appropriate theatrical events for disadvantaged youth.

Government
The Keymáh Cultural Fund is a donor advised fund managed by Associated Black Charities of Maryland (ABC). Ms. Keymáh selected ABC because they are working to promote, encourage and expand organized philanthropy in the African American community. Through the establishment of donor advised funds like The Keymáh Cultural Fund, they are raising consciousness, self-sufficiency and resources to address the needs of the African American community.
